Production Blog: Editing for my Music Video

Hey everyone! I’m Luc-Luis Manosalvas, and welcome back to my blog. Me and my group tried to organize a day to edit our video. Unfortunately, none of our schedules aligned. We then decided we'd do the editing at school. At first, this also didn't work out. Rhys forgot to bring his laptop the day we planned on editing. Finally, the next class, Daniel, Rhys, and I were all there, and Rhys had brought his laptop. Unfortunately, Lucas is in different class period from us, so he was unable to help edit. We were then able to begin editing. Rhys turned on his laptop and went to DaVinci Resolve, the editing program, but it needed an update. After a few minutes we were finally able to get started. Rhys was the one on the computer, because he has the most experience with this program. Rhys inserted the clips one by one, while me and Daniel suggested the order. At first I was worried that we would not have enough footage to meet the time requirement. This was mainly because we didn't have an opportunity to film the soccer scene. Fortunately, we had shot a little extra, so it should work out to the right amount of time. After adding the clips in, we cut some of them down so that they wouldn't drag on for too long. We still have not added transitions or the song. On top of that, I think some of the video feels messy, and needs to be cleaned up through editing. We plan to do this next time Rhys can bring his laptop to class.
