Hey everyone! I’m Luc-Luis Manosalvas, and welcome back to my blog.  My group is making a music video for the song “Don't Stop Me Now ”. This is a song by Queen. In their specific music video, it shows more of them singing rather than having a story having a story to go with their song. We also looked at similar songs to see what they did for their music videos. One music video we watched was eye of the tiger. This was very different than don't stop me now. One reason it is different is there is more movement. For example, in the beginning they walk around town. Another song I watched was another one bites the dust. This was just like the first one with them singing on stage and really feeling the music . It was all relatively the same with just them singing on the stage. In our video we are going to challenge this by using the upbeat nature of our song to tell a   story. For  costumes we will most likely use just everyday clothes because in the v...

Planning for my Don't Stop Me Now music video

Hey everyone! I’m Luc-Luis Manosalvas, and welcome back to my blog. This is the planning and preparation for my music video. The song my group chose was, "Don't Stop Ne Now," by Queen. We chose this song because it is a classic song that we were all familiar with. On top of this, it fit well with some ideas we had for the video. For props we will need a record player and a record of the song we are using. Rhys will be able to provide this. We will also use a piano in the video. Daniel has the piano we'll be using. Below are the dates we plan on completing our project on. 11/9/22 - M y group mates and I establish ourselves, our group, and the project. 11/14/22 - M y group mates and I plan for our project and determine props, costume, location, etc. 11/15/22 - M y group mates and I draw up a story board we can use for our music video. 11/28-12/16/22 - My group mates and I fil...

Group Blog

Hey everyone! I’m Luc-Luis Manosalvas, and welcome back to my blog. Todays blog is about my group for the music video project. For this project I'm working with Rhys and Daniel again, along with one other. Our newest groupmate is Lucas. If you remember back to my first group blog, Lucas worked with us in Global Perspectives. I'm looking forward to being in the same group with all four of us again. We worked well together last year, so hopefully this will further the chemistry we have as a group. Despite this, we have grown apart in the last year. I haven't spoken to Lucas at all this year. If all goes well, we'll be able to quickly reconnect and pick up where we left off. It also seems that my other groupmates still talk to Lucas, which will definitely help. For this project it seems like Rhys's expertise will once again come in handy. Rhys already has a vinyl and record player for the song we chose. This will be a big help for an opening scene we had in mind. One ...

Hey everyone! I'm Luc-Luis Manosalvas, a sophomore attending Fort Lauderdale High School, and welcome back to my blog. I decided on this class because I'm interested in film and filmmaking. Unfortunately, I have very little experience with it. This class seems like a good way to learn about filmmaking an increase my passion for it. I first got interested in filmmaking watching YouTube videos. There is a channel called Corridor that talks about visual effects, stunt work, and filmmaking. It was at this point that I decided that filmmaking was right for me. I'm thrilled to be able to work on this and upcoming projects to expand my knowledge and increase my skill. At this point, I'm still unsure about what part in this I want to play. Being a director seems fun, but it also seems like a huge responsibility. Camera work is also interesting, as I'll be able to use the knowledge I gained about camera techniques. Being an actor would also be a lot of fun, but it's som...
