Planning for my Prime Hydration Commercial

Image
Welcome back to my blog. Today we will be explaining the planning and preparation for our commercial. The first part of planning is deciding what props we will use. Since this is an energy drink commercial, we will ne ed a few bottles of Prime Hydration. We will also need boxing gloves and a large boxing shield because of our boxing theme.   The costumes will be simple, mostly sportswear. This will include long athletic shorts and a short-sleeved T -shirt or tank top. Our actors will also wear sneakers or other types of athletic shoes.   Below are the dates we plan on completing our project on.   9/27/22- My group mates and I research different energy drink commercials.   9/29/22- My group mates and I look at what props, co stumes , schedule, Location, and backup plan.   10/3/22- My group mates and I draw up a story board we can use for our commercial. 10/6, 10/11 & 10/13 - My group mates and I made our production blogs. 10/14/ 22- My group mates a...

Research Blog: Commercial Conventions

My group is doing a Prime Hydration advertisement. Prime Hydration is a rather new brand, so they don’t yet have many good commercials to use as inspiration. Instead of researching Prime Hydration, we researched similar brand s . Prime is an en er gy drink, much like Gatorade and Powerade. N early all Gatorade commercials focus on sports as a main theme. This usually includes popular and well-known sports like football, basketball, and track and field. Gatorade commer cials often begin with athletes training, while drinking Gatorade to stay hydrated and energized . It later cuts to game day when these athletes are winning in whatever sport they are playing. Gatorade commercials use props like balls, sports attire, and the Gatorade itself. The Prime Hydration commercials that have been made often focus on the bottle itself, so that aspect could also be incorporated into our commercial. Lots of sports drink commercials have a slogan or something that people remember an...

Group Blog

Hey everyone! I'm Luc-Luis, and welcome to my second blog post. This time I'll be writing about the group I'm working with for this upcoming project. My group consists of me, my classmate Rhys, and my classmate Daniel. Fortunately, I already have experience working with these two. The three of us and one other formed a group for a class we had last year called global perspectives. The three of us have good chemistry working together. On top of this, we've been good friends since last year. We also tried to add last years fourth member, Lucas, to our group. Unfortunately, he is in another class period so he was already in a group.  The first member of my group, Daniel, is a stubborn but hard worker. Daniel often refuses to accept our point of view, and was even reluctant at first to join the group. Despite this, Daniel works hard and doesn't quit. He is a invaluable member of our group and I'm happy to be working with him this year. The other classmate I'm w...

Intro Blog

Hey everyone! Welcome to my first blog post. I'm Luc-Luis Manosalvas, a sophomore attending Fort Lauderdale High School. I decided on this class because I'm interested in film and filmmaking. Unfortunately, I have very little experience with it. This class seems like a good way to learn about filmmaking an increase my passion for it. I first got interested in filmmaking watching YouTube videos. There is a channel called Corridor that talks about visual effects, stunt work, and filmmaking. It was at this point that I decided that filmmaking was right for me. I'm thrilled to be able to work on this and upcoming projects to expand my knowledge and increase my skill. At this point, I'm still unsure about what part in this I want to play. Being a director seems fun, but it also seems like a huge responsibility. Camera work is also interesting, as I'll be able to use the knowledge I gained about camera techniques. Being an actor would also be a lot of fun, but it's s...
