Critical Creative Reflection
Hey Everyone! I'm Luc-Luis Manosalvas, and welcome back to my blog. Todays blog is my Creative Critical Reflection (CCR). My product challenges conventions because of its unique format. A majority of advertisements are very simple, and only attempt to grab attention. My product is challenging this by existing in a story-like format. The main audience watching a commercial like this would be anyone watching TV. This commercial would most likely also specifically air on sports or boxing channels. This would be to reach an audience that is interested in the product. It would be engaging them by the nature of the product as a sports drink. This would be distributed as a real media text in magazine format. This would contain many of the same main points, but would be more informative and less story based. My production skills have improved greatly throughout this process. At first, though I was interested in it, I had very little knowledge about filmmaking. As time went on I learned many things about the process. This included preparation, camerawork and, despite not being present for it, even a little editing. We used many technologies during this process. One of the most important things was our computers and phones. This allowed us to research and watch commercials of similar products. Cameras were also essential for the filmmaking process. We could have filmed with an iPhone, but we decided a camera would have better quality. Finally, we used software programs like DaVinci Resolve to edit the clips we filmed and create the final product we have now.
