Re-Shoot Blog: Painstaking Redo
I'm Luc-Luis Manosalvas, and welcome back to my blog. This re-shoot was definitely an unpleasant experience. Like I thought, we had to completely restart. This was, of course, a massive setback. The shoot didn't take too long, but it was extremely frustrating doing the same scenes we'd already done all over again. The shoot went pretty similar to how it went last time. We started with the conversation scene inside Daniel's house. We decided it would feel unnatural if the conversation was completely scripted. We decided to come up with a topic, that being ketchup vs. BBQ sauce, and improvise. This did take a couple attempts, but to their credit, the actors did a very good job with the scene. Many of the other scenes went the same with the exception of the camera work. I think I did a much better job with the camerawork, but there is room for improvement. Throughout the indoor shots we also used better lighting. I think with all of this, it should turn out nicely. One worry I do have is that this time, we won't have enough footage. I'm not sure why I feel this way, especially since all the shots went the same. Despite this, I have a weird feeling that it's not enough. I'm also worried about the deadline coming up even more rapidly. Overall, I think many of my worries are unfounded, and things will turn out fine.
