Production Blog: Getting Ready to Film

I'm Luc-Luis Manosalvas, and welcome back to my blog. This is what me and my group did to finish planning and prepare to film. The first thing we had to do was create a storyboard and a script. Both of these create a chronological plan for our filming. The script provides a more detailed and in depth explanation of the story for the title sequence. Meanwhile the storyboard provides a visual representation of this story. I was the one to do both the script and storyboard for my group. I was a little disappointed, as this was, in my opinion, more difficult than what the other two did. Despite this, I was alright with the situation. My main priority was making sure we did quality work. Rhys was the one to do the title design blog, while Daniel explained our filming location, participants, health, and schedule. The title design blog mainly consisted of choosing a font and style for our titles, which I told Rhys to do. I decided on this because Rhys often does things better hands-on, like when going through options for the font and style, or when doing the final editing for our videos. Daniel, on the other hand, is better at more technical aspects, like the details of our filming. Reviewing Daniel's work more recently, I was disappointed to find that one of the major points he focused on was a lack of street lights in his area. I thought I had made it clear to him that we would be going against conventions for mystery, and filming during the day. In fact, this was something major I had focused on in prior stages of planning. Despite all of this planning, we still have not decided on a filming date. We have a lot of work lately at school, so it's hard to find time. Hopefully, we should be able to film soon.
